The Carter Family Foundation will focus its efforts on three tiers:
Education is the foundation of an individual’s potential. It is the gateway to resources and opportunities that contribute to success. Ensuring that all children have access and availability to equitable education and the opportunities that arise as a result is a goal of the foundation.
Community Service affords individuals opportunities to leave a lasting, positive impact on society, all while providing a service to those in need. Service also strengthens social bonds within the community, encourages involvement, and enhances civic responsibility.
Philanthropy, or the “love or humanity,” is the variety of ways that the foundation can promote the welfare of others. Through the giving of time, resources, experience, and volunteerism, the Carter Family Foundation pledges support to all individuals seeking aid in some form.
